Rhodochrosite is often called the "Love Stone." It's difficult to find rhodochrosite of this quality now. I purchased a number of these heart cabochons about 25 years ago. Most of them have been tucked away all this time. The pendant is about 1.5 inches tall and 1.25 inches wide. Although it's large, it's not a heavy pendant. I set the stone in sterling silver and include a polishing cloth. Store your pendant in the heavy duty plastic bag to prevent tarnishing, and polish the silver gently with the cloth after wearing. I tuck the pendant into a decorative jewelry pouch, then into a gift box tied with a ribbon — all ready for gifting.
