Description
This unusual pendant is made from natural copper that has been melted and "splashed" onto a flat surface to cool and harden. This technique results in a variety of fanciful shapes and sizes. Once cooled, a green chemical patina is applied, then highlights are buff polished to expose the solid copper underneath. The copper sculpture is sprayed with a coating that preserves the finish and prevents tarnishing. I set the piece in solid copper wire and include a polishing cloth. To reduce tarnishing of the wrap wire, store your earrings in the heavy duty plastic bag provided. After wearing, gently shine the wire with the polishing cloth before storing. The pendant is about 2.6" tall and 1.25" wide. You may purchase the pendant alone or with an adjustable copper link chain in your choice of 20, 24, or 30 inches. The chain has a flash coating to reduce tarnishing so it stays nice and shiny with minimal care. I tuck your pendant into a decorative jewelry pouch, then into a gift box tied with a ribbon, all ready for gifting.
Did you know that copper is the traditional gift for both the 7th and 22nd wedding anniversary?
